Even the most die-hard home cook sometimes just wants a healthy dinner they can throw together from premade stuff from the store. That person is all of us from time to time.

These Greek fries come together in less than 25 minutes and each individual component came from Trader Joe’s. But don’t despair if you don’t have a TJ’s near you, because I do have homemade options for everything.

Greek Fries Ingredients

  • Fries – I went with sweet potato, but regular fries or even tots would work. E’rbody loves tots.

Homemade Versions of the TJ’s Products

FriesSpicy Sweet Potato Fries, Air Fryer Fries, Crispy Turnip Fries, Baked Butternut Squash Fries, or Crispy Potato Wedges. If you’re looking to make this lower-carb, air fryer cauliflower or sauteed green beans make a great alternative.

Grilled Chicken – Use the chicken cooking instructions from these Pressure Cooker Chicken Tacos.

Tzatziki – Use the Greek Yogurt Sauce from these Chicken Gyro Instant Pot Sweet Potatoes.

Pro Tips/Recipe Notes

  • The grilled chicken at Trader Joe’s has a pretty short shelf-life. Check the expiration date before purchasing, but know you can also freeze it directly in the package for a month.
  • Serve the Greek fries with a salad, plates of cucumbers and tomatoes, or even roast some vegetables on a separate baking sheet while the fries are cooking. Related: Roasting Frozen Vegetables
  • To make these greek fries vegetarian, replace the chicken with white beans, chickpeas, or sliced tempeh.
