Meal plan for December 19th-25th

Holy crap, the start of Hanukkah and Christmas is this week!  Hurray!  I hope this week finds you surrounded by loved ones.

Here is what we’re eating this week in our house.

Monday:: homemade reubens, roasted brussel sprouts, and sweet potato fries

Tuesday:: spaghetti, garlic bread, and salad

Wednesday:: Soba noodles with shrimp

Thursday:: apple pancakes, bacon, and “eggies”

Friday:: homemade pizza and roasted brussel sprouts

Saturday:: Christmas eve dinner at Troy’s parent’s

Sunday:: Christmas dinner at Troy’s aunt’s

This week I spent $30.91 on groceries.  $3.99 of that being a sandwich from the deli, and $2.99 for a 6 pack of Hansen’s soda; I NEEDED a root beer to go with my sandwich!  I was out and about later than expected and was starving.

  1. Tanner, I love that about the holidays – staple items are so cheap!

    And don’t hate yourself about the deli sandwich. We’re all human and need food to survive! ;-D

    All About Us, this weekend I was thinking “surely no one cares about what I buy at the market. I should stop taking photos”. But I’ll keep doing it. JUST for you!

  2. Is it odd that I REALLY like looking at other people’s groceries? LOL

  3. Last year, all grocery stores went crazy with getting rid of sweet potatoes after Thanksgiving, but this year, they barely had them in stock and the sale prices were meh. I miss cheap sweet potato fries sprinkled with cinnamon and salt/nutmeg. Yum.

    I hate myself every time I get a sandwich from a store deli. Reminds me why I need to make sure I’ve eaten before stepping into a grogery store! So expensive, but oh so convenient and sometimes yummy.

    (I hope this week doesn’t find me, period!)

    Hope you have a great start to the holiday week!
