Meal plan for May 9th-15th
A few months ago, our pastor based his sermon on a verse that struck a chord in me to the point where I actually wrote it down. Usually we spend church half-listening and half trying to keep the kids quiet. Maybe it was a miracle that the heavens aligned and I could actually listen to what he was saying. I’ll never know. But the verse was awesome and I keep it in my phone, and I apply it to so many different aspects of my life.
Even if you are not religious in any shape or form, these words give us all a wee bit of wiggle room to not be perfect or flawless. We all just keep trying and doing our best to not screw up too badly.
This week finds us headed to California (finally!!!!) to see our friends and head to Disneyland. I wish teleporting was a thing. I want to be there now.
Jack, 3 months:
Bennett, 3 months:
B and I mowed the lawn this weekend. In addition to seasonal allergies, it appears I caught a wicked case of resting bitch face.
The Mother’s Day present for grandmas that took what seemed like hours!
This week for meals, we’re just having eggs, sides, and pasta since we’re only here for two days and then off to the Southland.
Whatever and wherever today finds you, I hope it is full of grace that you are allowing yourself!
Grace upon grace, beautiful.
What a wonderful photo of your boys! And though I am not religious, thank you for the words today. It’s so easy to beat ourselves up when we are not doing our best.
Have a wonderful, fantastic, and magical trip!
Needed the verse today! Thank you! Have a great trip!
Your boys are darling! You don’t look bitchy mowing the lawn 🙂 you all are very cute! I always thought Jack has a familiar look to him and I just realized I think he looks a bit like Jack Johnson 🙂 Happy Mothers day! My youngest wouldn’t let me sleep past 6am this morning, hopefully we will get naps today! Have fun in Cali too!
Thank you for writing just what I needed to hear, just when I needed to hear it. Happy Mother’s Day, and have a wonderful trip!
