Scattered Sundays and Meal Plan
I have a process question and am so curious about your results.
When (if) you shave your legs do you shave segment by segment on the same leg, segment by segment on each leg, or the whole leg at once? I usually do segment by segment on each leg. As in I shave below the knee on the right leg (always the right leg first) and then below the knee on the left leg. Then I move on both knees, and then my thigh.
But then sometimes, maybe it is being tired, but I will shave a whole leg without even thinking about it and suddenly everything is all crazy. Routine is out the window and apparently, I’m being wild and carefree.
There are rules people!
I’m keeping it short because by the time you read this post I will have already been awake for like three hours. Jack and I are currently on a plane headed to Denver to see my bestie Anne.
We’ll be there until Friday and the lad and I am so excited to see our friends/Auntie. And I freaking love Denver. If we ever enter the Witness Protection program don’t look in Denver because it is too obvious that I’ll be there.
Before I give you the rundown on the blog crap for the week I wanted to share two things with you.
One: if you have seasonal allergies and your meds just aren’t cutting it, these Hyland’s homeopathic allergy meds have been just the thing that let me not rip my face off and pressure wash it. My dad bought them to try and both Troy and I are big fans.
Two: I have a girl crush. If you’re part of the Sustainable Cooks Facebook community you’ll see a post I shared yesterday from Hey Nutrition Lady.
I came across her blog recently and saw her use the term “healthy AF” and it was instant blog-traction. Check out her site and I think you’ll like what you see.

Nothing! Because we’re in Denver and my husband is a grown ass man capable of feeding Bennett.
I think? Yes. It will be fine.
After shaving for 20 years (since I was 8, seriously) I’m a completely converted waxer. I’ve been waxing for ~8 months and do everything from my eyebrows down and LOVVVEEE ITÂ
I have crazy dark and thick hair that would grow back in 8 or so hours after shaving. With waxing I normally go every 3ish weeks in the summer and 4ish weeks in the winter, where as most people can do 4-5 weeks. My hair grows back super fast even with waxing ugh.
When I was a shaver it was left lower leg, right lower leg, left knee and thigh, then right knee and thigh.Â
You sound like my sister. So much dark hair and such a pain to keep it in control! I’m glad you have found something that works for you.
postscript: Love Bennett’s shirt. 🙂
Hee hee, thanks. He is the last cousin on one side of the family so we let him wear whatever is in the hand-me-down bins. He loves the rainbow unicorns and they fit!
So want to know something crazy? I’m at my friend’s house and her shower is a lot bigger of mine with a ledge in the shower. I shaved my whole leg without even thinking about it. Here’s the thing – it is because I was able to keep my leg out of the stream of water the whole time. My shower at home is pretty small so I’m wondering if my shaving is more based on space limitations in my own shower.
I’m with you – segment by segment on each leg. Right leg thigh; left leg thigh. Right knee and then left. And then below the knee in the same fashion. I used to be a whole leg kinda girl but as I’ve gotten older (read: lazier), I’ve found that the segmented method gives me the option to decide not to continue on with the whole leg if I so choose. 🙂
