You'll love this smooth and Easy Instant Pot Iced Tea for a quick and healthy refreshing drink. You can also make tea concentrate to get that same great flavor while saving space in your fridge.
Add 8 cups of water to the insert of the Instant Pot.
Drop in the tea bags with any tags removed. If you'd like to add any non-liquid sweetener, add it now.
Lock the lid into place, flip the steam release handle to "sealing". Press manual>high pressure>and use the up/down buttons to set the time to 4 minutes.
The Instant Pot will show "on" and then once it comes up to pressure you'll see "4" on the display.
When it has finished cooking, it will switch to a countdown mode. If you're going to do a natural release for 15 minutes, you can keep track of the waiting time using this countdown clock. If you're going to do a manual pressure release, flip the steam release handle to "venting" and wait for it to depressurize.
Store the finished ice tea in a glass pitcher or canning jars for easy storage. Store in the fridge and enjoy within one week.
Reduce the water in this recipe to only 4 cups, but use the same number of tea bags.
When you're ready to enjoy your iced tea, fill your glass 50-60% full and add water or ice to top off the glass.
It took my 8-quart Instant Pot 12 minutes to come up to pressure and 5 minutes to depressurize during a quick release.
If you're using individual tea bags, you'd use 7-8 depending on how strong you like your tea.
If you'd like to double the recipe, the "cook" time remains the same.
