Instructions
Instant Pot Instructions
Place the wire trivet in the Instant Pot and add water.
Using a sharp knife, remove the top section of the head of garlic, exposing the individual cloves.
Placed heads of garlic on the trivet.
Place the lid on the Instant Pot and set the vent to sealing. Press Manual>High>8 minutes.
Allow for a natural release for 7 minutes and then perform a quick release to remove additional pressure.
If you want to caramelize the garlic, carefully remove the garlic from the Instant Pot with tongs and place on a heat-proof baking dish.
Drizzle each head with 1/2 tsp of olive oil and place under the broiler set to high for 3-5 minutes. Check often!
Allow garlic to cool before handling.
Notes
Oven Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Prepare a baking dish with a small piece of foil.
Using a sharp knife, remove the top section of the head of garlic and place it on a piece of foil.
Drizzle each head with about 1/2 tsp of olive oil. Wrap the foil up and around the garlic to create a small pouch.
Bake for 35 minutes or until the individual cloves are soft and caramelized.
Allow to cool before handling.
