Wash and trim green beans. Pat dry with a clean kitchen towel.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine green beans and buttermilk. Stir to coat.
Using tongs, transfer green beans to a separate mixing bowl.
Sprinkle beans with flour, baking powder, panko, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, and kosher salt. Toss to coat.
Lightly brush air fryer basket with olive oil.
Place green beans in air fryer basket and spray beans with olive oil.
Cook at 390 degrees F for 5 minutes. Shake the basket and cook for another 5 minutes.
Notes
Oven-baking instructions: Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Add parchment to a rimmed baking sheet, and spread green beans out. Spray with olive oil and bake for 15 minutes. Stir and bake an additional 2-5 minutes depending on how crispy you'd like them.Use 2 beaten eggs in place of buttermilk if you want a heavier bread coating.
