Once you know how to cook frozen asparagus, you'll make it part of your weekly dinner rotation. It’s so easy to roast frozen asparagus for a no-fuss and tasty side dish all year long. I'm also sharing recipe ideas to inspire your asparagus-forward meal plans.
Preheat oven to 425˚F. Place the pan in the oven while it preheats.
In a baking dish or a plate, toss the asparagus with the olive oil.
2 tsp olive oil, 16 oz frozen asparagus
Add the frozen asparagus to the hot baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes.
Stir and bake an additional 5-10 minutes, depending on how crispy you like your roasted asparagus.
{optional}: Sprinkle finished asparagus with sea salt.
pinch of sea salt
Notes
Do NOT thaw asparagus before adding it to the baking sheet.
This base recipe gives you so much freedom to add your favorite seasonings and flavors. I love mixing in garlic powder, Everything But the Bagel Seasoning, Montreal Steak Seasoning, and grated Parmesan.
Don’t crowd the pan! Give the asparagus plenty of space to roast. Too much veg all smushed together will cause the water to steam instead of evaporating. Try using two or even three pans if you want to roast larger batches.
