These green beans in tomato sauce are outrageously tasty and ready in just 10 minutes! This one-pot wonder, made with fresh or frozen green beans, is a speedy and delicious easy dinner.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
2 tsp olive oil, 3 cloves garlic
Add green beans, marinara sauce, and water. Stir.
24 oz green beans, 2 cups marinara sauce, 1/2 cup water
Place a lid or baking sheet over the skillet and cook for 9 minutes (al dente) or until the green beans have reached your desired texture.
(optional) top with shaved or grated Parmesan.
Notes
If you prefer green beans that are softer, increase the water by 2 tbsp and cook until they have reached your desired texture. Check after the initial 9 minutes to see if additional water needs to be added.
