You’ll love having the option of making eggs in the air fryer with this air fryer hard “boiled” eggs recipe! You can make “jammy”, soft, or hard “boiled” eggs without any water in your air fryer.

Ok, I know, I KNOW. I get that having the word “boiled” in a title for a method that doesn’t use a drop of water means that I sit on a throne of lies. Many apologies.
But I like giving people options for cooking methods, so here we are!
And, real talk. I find these air fryer hard-boiled eggs more cumbersome to peel than Instant Pot hard-boiled eggs (I mean, check out these photos – woof)…but they taste delicious, and at the end of the day, flavor wins every time.

Use the jammy eggs on top of ramen noodle bowls, and the hard-boiled ones in our Greek yogurt deviled eggs.
Pro Tips/Recipe Notes
- If your air fryer model has different cooking modes, choose “bake” for this recipe.
- Use A LOT of ice to quickly cool the eggs. Cool for at least 5 minutes in the ice bath.
- You can store peeled or unpeeled hard-boiled eggs in the fridge for up to 7 days.
- If you peel them, place a clean cloth or paper towel in the bottom of the container before storing. They’ll “sweat” as they sit in the fridge.

The most important question! Does this method reduce the sulfuric hard-boiled egg SMELL? That would make it worth it right there!
Sadly, I cannot confirm or deny! I photographed two egg different recipes on the same day, so my entire kitchen smelled like eggs.
Darn it😂
