Do the shrimp need to be peeled before being frozen?
No, they wouldn’t need to be peeled. The peel shouldn’t impact the cooking time, but to be safe, make sure they reach the safe cooking temp of 145˚F or 63˚c.
Why do you reheat af to 370 degrees F. but it says cook at 390 degrees F. Is this a typo or do you increase the temp. when you start cooking? I’m new at this.
It’s not a typo. For this recipe, I wanted the air fryer hot for the preheat but not as hot as the cooking time. It just worked out better for overall texture when I was doing the various recipe tests. I use a basket-style air fryer so it is easy to adjust temps as you go.
For some of my other air fryer recipes I do preheat to the actual cooking temp. But this isn’t one of them. 🙂
question. I have a huge af no baskets, shelves instead, will that work??
Is it more like an oven? Yes, it will work as long as the shrimp won’t fall between any of the shelving.
