Whoops – I forgot to include Parmesan, which is optional but delicious!!

In a perfect world, I would serve a side of this Parmesan jasmine rice with air fryer steak bites or a dry-brine roasted chicken.

Pro Tips/Recipe Notes

  • Like your rice more cheesy? Top the finished rice with additional parmesan. Cheese should always be measured with your heart.
  • In this recipe, I do not rinse my rice beforehand because I’m lazy, but if you choose to rinse, the cooking time and measurements remain the same.
  • Using something other than Jasmine rice? Cook basmati rice for 5 minutes, brown Jasmine rice for 17 minutes, and brown basmati rice for 16 minutes.

  1. My whole family loves this rice !! I always have everything to make this delicious side dishes. I could literally eat just this for dinner and be a happy girl. I pair it with baked chicken or panko parm breaded boneless pork chops or chicken breasts. It’s done quick in my instapot and you use simple ingredients and way better that box rice. Thank you for a great recipe 😋 !!!5 stars

    1. Diane, you’re a woman after my own heart! I can (and have) enjoyed this rice as my only dish at dinner.

I’m so glad to hear that you and your family enjoy it as much as we do.

    1. Hi Shelby, I’ve been making this recipe weekly since 2017 and I have never had the bottom burn. A few questions: 1) are you using an Instant Pot or a different brand? 2) when you melt the butter and saute the garlic is the butter burning then? 3) is the rice burning once it is cooked?

Without knowing where the issue is, it’s hard to identify what might be going on.

      1. Can you please review the questions I asked Shelby so that I can help figure out what is going on?
