I’m all for meal prep where you chop enough veggies for the week. But sometimes it’s absolutely lovely to just open a bag of frozen brussel sprouts, toss them in the air fryer and call it a day.

Follow my tips and tricks, they’ll taste just like you used fresh sprouts.

If you don’t have an air fryer, you’ll find oven-roasting instructions in this post on Roasted Frozen Brussel Sprouts.

PRO TIPS/RECIPE NOTES

  • Look for bags labeled as “baby brussel sprouts” to avoid getting huge brussels that are less tender than the little ones.
  • Do not thaw the brussel sprouts before air frying.
  • This is a recipe where preheating the air fryer is important to allow the veggies to start roasting immediately instead of merely steaming.
  • The volume of sprouts will shrink as it cooks, so it is ok if the basket looks a bit crowded at first.
  • Every air fryer will cook slightly differently, and everyone’s “perfectly” roasted sprouts will look different. Check the cooking progress at 7 minutes and continue cooking if desired. I find the sweet spot for me is 10-12 minutes total.
  • Add in a hefty sprinkle of nutritional yeast powder or shredded parmesan for a delicious and cheesy version.
