How to Freeze French Bread Pizza

For make-ahead options as part of your meal prep, make the pizzas and freeze them unbaked on a baking sheet lined with parchment for three hours. Once frozen, wrap pizzas in parchment or foil and then transfer them to freezer storage (we love these reusable silicone bags).

You can cook the frozen french bread pizzas in the air fryer without thawing. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes depending on how large your slices are.

You can also make this a speedy meal by using frozen peppers and frozen onions.

Air Fryer French Bread Pizza Heating and Storage

Storing in the Fridge

You can store leftover french bread pizzas in the fridge for 2-3 days. Allow the pizzas to fully cool and then store in an air-tight container.

Place leftover pizza in the air fryer and cook for 2-3 minutes at 330F.

How Long Do You Cook Frozen French Bread Pizza

Have some store-bought frozen French bread pizzas in your freezer? Preheat your air fryer 3 minutes at 380F and then cook the frozen French bread pizzas for 4-6 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

Pro Tips/Recipe Notes

  • You can use French bread or baguettes for this pizza. Baguettes get much crispier when cooked in the air fryer.
  • Lighter toppings like pepperoni, thinly sliced peppers, and mushrooms do tend to “fly” around the air fryer because of the powerful fan. I find putting them under the cheese works best to keep everything in place.
  • You can brush the bread with olive oil and a bit of garlic powder and cook for 2 minutes at 350F before adding the toppings if you prefer the base to be a bit crispier.
  • Cut bread into smaller pieces to turn these meal-size air fryer pizzas into a fast appetizer.
  • This is a recipe where I strongly recommend using air fryer parchment. It helps with the delicious gooey cheese that might fall onto the basket. Don’t have special parchment? No problem! Take a piece of your normal parchment and punch a bunch of holes in it with a chopstick or small knife.
