I have yet to find a vegetable or cheese-based item that I don’t enjoy air frying. And these ravioli are no exception. You’re going to LOVE the taste and how easy they are to make!

Just like my Easy Air Fryer Pickles, Fried Artichoke Hearts, Air Fryer Pretzel Bites, and Air Fryer Zucchini Chips, this recipe takes delicious ingredients and turns them into a tasty appetizer or game-day snack.

Air Fryer Ravioli Ingredients

  • Ravioli – refrigerated or frozen works here
  • Breading squad: all-purpose flour, panko, regular bread crumbs, and baking powder
  • Seasonings: grated (not shredded) Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning
  • Buttermilk and olive oil

What Goes With Fried Ravioli?

All the dipping sauces! We dipped ours in the best homemade pizza sauce, but Crockpot Spaghetti Sauce or Cherry Tomato Sauce would be great too. And if you love something with some kick, I highly recommend our Chipotle Sauce.

Pro Tips/Recipe Notes

  • You do not need to cook the ravioli before air frying. If you use frozen it will cook in the fryer but I do find the corners can get a bit tough.
  • If you don’t have buttermilk, you can mix 2 eggs with 2 tbsp of water.
  • This recipe is written so that you don’t have much breading left over. If you prefer a heavier coating of breading, increase the panko, breadcrumbs, and Italian seasoning.
  • After spraying the olive oil on the breading, allow it to sit for 2-3 minutes. This will allow the panko to soak up the oil, creating the crunchiest coating.

Total: 18 minutes
Crispy and packed with flavor, these air fryer ravioli are a fun and poppable treat! Perfect as a quick appetizer or a tasty game-day snack, toasted ravioli is sure to become a crowd favorite.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cheese ravioli {refrigerated is preferred}
  • 2/3 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup panko
  • 1/4 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese {grated}
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tsp olive oil

Instructions

  • In one bowl combine panko, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and breadcrumbs, buttermilk in another, and flour mixed with baking powder in another.
2/3 cup buttermilk, 1/2 cup panko, 1/4 cup plain breadcrumbs, 3 tbsp all-purpose flour, 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese, 1 tbsp Italian seasoning, 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Set a large empty plate or a baking sheet aside.
  • It's easiest to work in batches of 2-3. With your left hand, dredge three ravioli through the flour and shake the excess off.
    8 oz cheese ravioli
  • With your left hand, drop them into the buttermilk, stirring to coat.
  • Use your right hand and drop them into the breadcrumb bowl. Place your breaded ravioli onto a plate.
  • Once you've finished breading all of them, spray them with olive oil spray while they're still on the plate. Really coat them and then let them sit 2-3 minutes.
    2 tsp olive oil
  • Brush the basket of the air fryer with olive oil and gently place them in the basket. Don't overcrowd the basket.
  • Cook for 5 minutes at 390F degrees. Flip (easiest to use the tines of a fork). Spray the tops with additional olive oil spray if they need it.
  • Cook for an additional 3 minutes and then serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  1. If you don’t have buttermilk, you can mix 2 eggs with 2 tbsp of water.
  2. After spraying the olive oil on the breading, allow it to sit for 2-3 minutes. This will allow the panko to soak up the oil, creating the crunchiest coating.
Oven Baking Instructions

  3. Place parchment on a rimmed baking sheet, and place a baking rack on the sheet. Spray the rack liberally with olive oil.
  4. Place the ravioli on the baking rack and spray them liberally with olive oil.
  5. Bake at 425 degrees F for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
