These tender and juicy turkey burgers are simple to make, are ready in a flash, and you don’t even need to own a grill to enjoy them. What’s not to love?

I love serving these air fryer turkey burgers alongside roasted garlic potatoes. And maybe it’s a Pacific Northwest thing, but I always serve those potatoes topped with some homemade tartar sauce.

ground meat, buns, cheese, and other ingredients on a wooden board.

When it comes to choosing ground turkey, look for packages marked 85/15 (85% lean, 15% fat) as ground turkey is already very lean.

To amp up the flavor, we’re using our easy homemade burger seasoning. In addition to the burger rub, this recipe uses a bit of Worcestershire sauce and unsalted butter.

Meal prep Tip

Double the recipe and freeze half of the patties, uncooked on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Freeze for 2-3 hours and then transfer to freezer storage.

Prep once and cooking twice is my biggest hack for getting quick dinners on the table during a busy night.

Pro Tips/Recipe Notes

  • Do not overmix the ingredients, as it can lead to patties that are too soft and fall apart. Mix to the point where the burger seasoning is well-distributed, and then form the patties.
  • Turkey does not shrink while cooking. Form patties that are true to size to fit the burger buns.
  • For best results: refrigerate patties for 1 hour or freeze for 20 minutes prior to cooking.
  • Preheating the air fryer will produce the best burgers.
  • You can omit the butter to make these burgers dairy-free.
