How to use sweet potato fry sauce

Obviously, you’ll want to try it on all things sweet potatoes like Air Fryer Frozen Sweet Potato Fries, Air Fryer Sweet Potatoes, and Air Fryer Sweet Potato Cubes. It can also be delightful on our Canned Sweet Potatoes.

But it’s also fantastic with Air Fryer Green Tomatoes, Air Fryer Green Bean Fries, Air Fryer Okra, Roasted Garlic Potatoes, Curly Fries in the Air Fryer, or Waffle Fries in the Air Fryer.

It works great for a burger sauce too; try it on our Air Fryer Turkey Burgers.

Pro Tips/Recipes

  • If you use Greek yogurt instead of mayo, look for plain/unflavored Greek yogurt. Related: Instant Pot Yogurt and Cold Start Instant Pot Yogurt.
  • Need a homemade mayo? Check out our Whole30 Mayo.
  • Celery seed and celery salt are not interchangeable. This recipe calls for celery seed; don’t use celery salt.
  • If you prefer a sweeter flavor, you can sub in sweet pickle relish.
  • If you want to turn this fry sauce into a pourable dressing, thin it with your milk of choice. Start with 2 tbsp and stir. Adjust as desired.
  • Sweet potato french fry sauce will last for a week in the fridge.

  1. That dipping sauce is seriously amazing.
I have made this twice now.  Since I am the only person in the house who would eat this (don’t ask, because I don’t know what is wrong with my family…), I scaled the recipe down (I LOVE that feature) to about 1/4 cup, then eyeballed the ingredients. I may have added a touch too much sriracha, but that didn’t stop me from devouring it!5 stars

    1. So glad you liked it Ange, and I agree with you on being able to adjust the recipe. Sometimes we just need one little bit of it!!

Thanks for taking the time to comment and review.

  2. I made this to have tonight with roasted cauliflower but ended up trying it with the quesadillas I made for lunch and it was awesome!!! I forced my sour cream-hating husband to try some with his quesadilla and he was blown away. His comment “That’s pretty [expletive]ing good.”5 stars

    1. Awww girl, you just made my night. Food that makes people swear is my favorite!!

We’re having Troy’s amazing burgers tomorrow and he asked me to make up a batch of this for the buns. I can’t wait!

  3. Let’s face it, the best part of any fries is the sauce. I looooooove the combo of greek yogurt and the spicy relish finish. This is a keeper for sure!5 stars
